Giveaway: The Cocoa Bean

Remember how I told you about my obsession with The Cocoa Bean a while back? Well that obsession is still going strong.

So guess what that means for you? A GIVEAWAY!!! The manager in the Provo, UT location contacted me and has given me THREE coupons to raffle away to you, my favorite people! That means there will be 3... THREE, winners. These coupons are valid in all 3 of their locations {1 in Utah and 2 in Idaho}, and each coupon offers one free cupcake and one free drink... which, by the way, are as equally great as their cupcakes.

All you have to do is:
Leave a comment telling me your favorite flavor -
It can be cake, ice cream, cupcake, otter pop... It doesn't
matter, just share your favorite flavor anything!

For bonus entries {leave a separate comment for each}:
.::Become a Follower of The Cocoa Bean's Blog::.

.::Become a Follower of our blog - Haolepinos::.

.::Share this giveaway on other social networks::.

DID YOU KNOW that The Cocoa Bean selects cocoa beans from different regions around the world, roasting them to perfection and serving them espresso style in their very own gourmet drinks? They are able to preserve the natural cocoa flavor that gives their drinks a bold, rich and roasted flavor -  served hot, chilled over ice, or blended into a frozen creamy beverage.... mmm delicious!

They also do charity work to give back to the community!

The giveaway will end at 11:59 pm {MTS} on Friday, July 29.

Good Luck!!!

Giveaway: Hale Zen

Since going home to Maui, I teamed up with a great friend, Lisa, to host a giveaway. She has this great store in Lahaina, HI called Hale Zen {great name huh?!?}. She sells everything from apparel to jam and everything in between. When I walked in, I was grabbing handfuls of things to buy - the best place to go shopping for some awesome souvenirs.

Lisa is the buyer and owner, she has done an amazing job tapping into her demographic. She mentioned to me that she tries to buy things that a 16 year old and a 60 year old would both want, and she has done it right. She sells some of the cutest most comfortable tops, great things for children, and locally made jewelry. Everything is so unique in her store and captures the true love and feel of the Aloha spirit.

There were just too many options, so Lisa decided to give two things away. I love both of these so much I seriously am having a hard time giving them away because I want them all for my self ahhahaha. Here they are...

Kenui Quilt
This is a Hawaiian style quilt. I don't know if it is my DNA or just a passion I have, but I love quilts and Hawaiian quilting is gorgeous with all the details that go into each stitch. I loved them so much I bought one for Zen. I think this will be a tradition I will start with my kids, each will have their own Hawaiian quilt.  The neat thing about these quilts is they have made it so you can hang it up in a room or you can make it a quilt they charish. This one, as you can clearly see, is an Alphabet one and is unisex. Because of the high amount of details and time that is put in to these quilts, they go for over $100.

The quilt measures 53"x42"

Local Hawaiian Jewelry
This is handmade by a local Maui jewelry designer. She does such a freaking good job! I love everything from this line. I have only seen them sold at Hale Zen too. This item has a puka shell and peace sign pendent that adds a very casual and feminine touch. Puka actually means "hole" because they naturally have a hole in the center, making it perfect to add to jewelry. You have to go to Hale Zen to see all the pieces, and THE NECKLACES... ohh they are gorgeous and unique. I could walk away with a handful of this jewelry. Since these are locally made, they go for about $50 each. Isn't it so cute?!?

What does all of this mean for you? It means there will be TWO WINNERS! Here is how to enter:

.::Leave a comment for each step::.
1.) You first need to "Friend" Hale Zen on Facebook by clicking here.
2.) Become a follower of Haolepinos {this blog}.
3.) Leave a comment of your favorite place to visit.
**If you have not followed these first 3 steps you will automatically be disqualified.**

.::For extra entries::.
4.) Spread the word through social media {i.e. Facebook, Blog,
or Twitter} by linking back to this blog. Each social media
will count as an entry. Just make sure you leave a
comment for each social media you link to.
**This means you have up to 6 entries/comments total**

The giveaway will end May 11th at 11:59pm MST

Thank you to Lisa and Hale Zen for the two beautiful items. Be sure to visit their Facebook page for weekly updates of what they are carrying in the store. If there is something that you are dying over, they can place an order and ship it your way.

Good Luck, and Happy Blogging!

Giveaway: Les Madeleines

Have you ever watched the Food Network and wished that you were able to teleport just to try the food from these amazing places? Well today I am here to share this opportunity. Of course I can not offer you teleportation, but through Fedex and the amazing owners of Les Madeleines, I am able to make this happen for one very lucky winner.

Les Madeleines is one of the hidden treasures here in Salt Lake City, Utah and has been featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate on the Food Network. They are known for their kouing-aman {it is pronounced like "queen" + "a" + "mon"} and claim they are slightly addicting... addicting is not a strong enough word! This amazing delicious master-piece truly is the best thing I ever ate! The kouing-aman has this sweet, salty, caramelized crunch on the outside, and a gooey flakey center. Hmmmm, heaven on earth!!!

Anything you buy from this shop of pure perfection is delicious. If you ever find yourself in Utah, be sure to pay a visit to Les Madeleins found in the heart of the city. They also serve breakfast and lunch and fresh beignets.

I have teamed up with the owner of Les Madeleines to give the winner 4 of the Kouing-aman, in any of the 50 states {don't worry if you are not from Utah, it will be shipped} . Here's what you need to do to enter:

* You need to become a follower of my blog and leave a comment saying you have done so.

For Extra Entries {to help boost your chances}:
*Leave a comment telling me the best thing you ever ate.

* Spread the word by social media {Facebook, blog post, Twitter} that links back to this blog, and then leave a comment that you have done so.

That means that you can have up to 5 entries: 1 for each social media that you link to {i.e. Facebook, blog, twitter}, 1 entry for becoming a follower of my blog, and 1 entry for telling me the best thing you ever ate.

If you failed to become a follower of this blog, you will be disqualified, and the prize will go to the next winner.

If the winner lives here in Utah, you will be required to pick up the item up from the store.

The winner will NOT be responsible for shipping; however, providing information to me is necessary.

The giveaway will end Tuesday April 5, 2011 at 11:59pm MST

A very special THANK YOU to the owner of Les Madeleins for making this possible! You truly have a heart of gold. FYI... Did you know they never throw out their food; they always donate their extra items to local shelters. To read more about their involvements you can click here.
