3.) She had nothing.. nothing to say and as her answer rolled out of her mouth she shakes her head like this is the worst answer ever to be said out loud
4.) If that was the name of any movie, that would be a horrible... HORRIBLE title!
5.) The guy on the left laughs!!
6.) The actual answer is Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore

Wheel of Fortune

Let's Break This Down:

Bananas Foster Pancakes

One day, while I was in Idaho with my sister, we decided to do breakfast for dinner. We thought pancakes would be the best breakfast dinner, but we wanted a twist on it, so I added some things from the cupboard and made what tasted like bananas foster pancakes. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
Pancake mix {Bisquick, Krusty's, or homemade}
2 tbls Cinnamon
2 tsp Honey
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Bananas {sliced}

Directions:
Make pancake batter per recipe direction.

Add cinnamon and honey to the batter.

On a hot griddle, place butter and olive oil, just enough to coat the pan {the olive oil keeps the butter from burning too fast, and the butter adds a delightful crispy ring around the pancake}.

On the pan, sprinkle about 1tsp brown sugar in a circle, the size of a silver dollar. Then add 2-4 bananas slices directly on top of brown sugar.

Pour pancake batter directly on top of the brown sugar and bananas. Keep the size of the pancake to match the size of the brown sugar on the pan {the brown sugar will carmalize with the butter and bananas}.

When you see bubbles form in the pancake it is ready to flip and ready to serve.

.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.

Taaaaaaaaaaaaaa Daaaaaaaaaa!!!! You have delicious pancakes. We didn't use any butter or syrup because it didn't need any, it was perfect just the way it was, but feel free to add whatever you want on top.

Summer Time

.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.
Don't forget about the Giveaway we are doing!!
Ends Friday, July 29 at 11:59 pm {MST}
.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.

I was up in Idaho hanging out with my sister the last week. We had a great time:
Going to the splash park
Riding one of the world's oldest wooden carousels
Watching Harry Potter
Taking the kids to a lunch in the park and then to a free movie
Staying in our PJ's all day
Watching Celebrity Rehab
Riding bikes
Making pancakes

It was just fun and relaxing and these kids crack me up. Ekemona loves his cousins and I think they love him too. Here are photos of our extravaganza!

 My mom got all the grandsons these matching Toy Story PJ's and
Hunter wanted to match Ekemona so he would pretend
he was really Buzz pressing the buttons on his shirt.

 I love the way he would hold Eke! ahhaha

Hunter took this photo of Lils, and I love her, so it is staying!

 Hahahah Pregnancy pose! Brittany had this water baby carrier.
Ekemona loved the free range of using his arms and legs.

 Ella hanging out!

 Eke looooooooved the spout of water and getting to crawl around

 Cute Hunty!

 Isn't this the cutest swim suit ever? Ohh that smile melts my heart!
Looooooove you sweet Lils!

 They loved the carousel. This is one of the
oldest wooden carousels in the nation, cool huh?

 Lily eating some cotton candy

 Hahaha The kids went wild for this stuff!
Seriously it was soooooo good!!!

And Ekemona got to have some cotton candy of his own too!

Haolepino Update: 9 Months

.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.
Don't forget about the Giveaway we are doing!!
Ends Friday, July 29 at 11:59 pm {MST}
.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.

Ekemona is officially 9 months old.... AND NOOOOOOOOOOOO TEETH YET! But don't let him fool you, he is teething! This little teething monster is up to all sorts of things, and I feel the trouble coming any minute now. He understands what it is like to be independent.... and that is all he wants, to do everything on his own! So being held during church is out of the question.

Here are his stats:
Head Circumference: 18.4" {88%tile}
Weight: 19.07 lbs {29%tile}
Length: 28" {46.72%}

So my little nugget has a large nugget ahhahaah and the weight thing means nothing to me because everyone tells me
how chunky, dense, rolly, heavy, big he is.... soooooooooo I don't get these things! Not to mention he can
fit in to size 12 months now.

He is getting so big and enjoying so many fun things. He loves being around big kids and playing in the water, and plays the cutest game of Peek-a-Boo. He has discovered a love for cars and the ladies... seriously, he flirts and gets all bashful around pretty girls. When it comes to cars, I am instantly in the way. He does a double check and rubber necks as much as he can to see what HUGE machines they  are.

I don't know where the time has gone, and I can't believe that he is almost a year old, but every step has been so fun, and I can't wait for those painful teeth to cut through!

Here is to you my love!

 This is how he decided to drink from his bottle one day. He wasn't successful.

 Ahahahaa My thug!

Did I ever mention his love for TV/ technology?

HP for Life!!!

Guess what weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee did on Tuesday! That's right... my sister, Brittany, and I saw Harry Potter in 3D. OK big secret... I hate 3D!!! I don't like those HUGE glasses that don't stay on my face, I don't like paying extra ESPECIALLY when I have no other option, and I don't like how I can't tell the difference between 2D, and getting motion sickness.

Brittany and me in our special 3D special watching the
most epic story of the century!

BUT WE SAW IT!!!! And I. LOVED. IT!!! It was magical, phenomenal, and fantastic and I sincerely believe that J.K Rolling is on of the most brilliant woman to have ever lived! I found this video and thought it was pretty hilarious! Take a peak and tell me what you think!!! I think they are pretty talented.

Minor Burns 101

I don't know how I have manage to burn myself more in the last two years then I ever have in my entire life, but I HAVE, and I can't stand the lingering pain and the raw skin. I have heard that putting ice directly and immediately after the burn occurs can help reduce pain, and that butter has done some kind of magic as well. As time grew on, I noticed that my burns always were painful and that those theories indeed were just theories.

UNTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL one day I heard that placing the burn under a running fosset of luke warm water does the trick. The reason this works is because you're bringing the skin's temperature back down to the natural temperature of the body. Ice causes the skin more damage because it is too extreme for the delicate skin to handle, causing it to throb and even blister.

The last few times when I have burned my fingers, I have tried this tactic and it has made the world of a difference. It didn't throb for much longer, it didn't blister, and it didn't change in color. Even though the skin was still damaged, the pain was not as bad as I had presumed it would be. This is hands down the best method I have ever had for minor burns. Ohhh and if you have burn cream/spray lying around... that really helps too, just place a band-aid over it to seal the medicine.

So remember, the next time you are cooking or doing your hair, and your little fingers seem to have gotten in the way, don't reach for the butter or ice... who knows what good either of those do anyways. Instead, these 3 easy steps will make you feel like the burn never occurred!!

1.) Place burn under luke warm water {around body temperature} for 60-90 sec

2.) Apply minor burn medicine directly on burned area

3.) Place band-aid on top of medicine to seal and protect

Single Ladies Gone Wrong

This video has nothing to do with HP... BUT the first time I saw this was with my sisters and we laughed until we cried. We would just click replay over and over and over, and I decided I had to share this family classic with you. I still laugh!!! So here is this week's video...

Mr. Mobile

.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.
I would first like to mention that Fools Rush In is hosting a giveaway
with Organize it Mom. Seriously, these are some awesome products.
Even if you don't win, everything there is about $10 or less. Go
check it out and enter for a chance to win one of their products.
.::---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::.

Ekemona has been Mr. Mobile! He is crawling like he is preparing for a marathon, and pulling himself up on every single thing he sees. All I can do is see the next hazardous accident waiting to happen. I feel like I don't even get to sit still anymore! We started baby-proofing the house before his crawling intensified with speed, but I feel like it isn't enough. I want to place bubble wrap on every corner, tape the drawers shut with masking tape, and remove everything that is touching the floor... EVERYTHING! You can only imagine how delightful it is to now change diapers, it's messy to say the least.

It is really fun to see him progress with his coordination. I love when he gets so proud of himself and we cheer and root him on, and his smile gets even bigger! I also love how he wants more and more freedom - that he gets frustrated that he can't stand or walk on his own yet. I love how happy the smallest things make him! I love seeing him explore and experience new things for the first time. I just wish the world never had corners, heat, or breakable objects!!! This would help him... ok fine ME, in his adventures of growing!

Baby You're a Firework

On the actual holiday, we woke up for our traditional pancake breakfast and went to the local parade. After that, we waited for the BBQ and fireworks. IT WAS PERFECT.

 Look at the reflection of the paint of the truck... I love it!

 Loved this float!!! So creative!

 And this is what followed...

 Gian's people float.

 He was pooped!

 My ultimate favorite float EVER! The local gas station makes up their own dance
while dressed in their traditional 50's work attire.

 My parent's house is the only one on the street, so kids have free and safe range
to do whatever their hearts' content!

 Eating the best BBQ.

 We always need sparklers!

 Hunter saw me put on my belt so he was sure to wear
his all day long... even in his PJ's Hahaha
