The Cougars are Out!!!

Even though Gian is now officially a BYU alumnus and we must say goodbye to the Cougars, that doesn't mean we will stop cheering on BYU teams, unless of course where he goes to law school has a pretty rocking team... we will always have Cougar Blue running through our veins.

Here are pictures of the grad-u-ation...
Waiting for the grads to fill in the empty space.

Gian's mom, Noemi, with Ekemona

Me and Jerome... I am sure he hated me doing this!

All the grads of 2011... I have no idea where G is.
Elder Scott come and spoke, it was great.

Had to put the cap on E ahahahha. So cute!

I love this little boy and his lips!!

Gian with his parents

Too bad no one in my family came...

Cute huh?!?!

You thought Gian wouldn't give his funny face?

I will give a secret prize to whoever can find Gian first!

He was one of the first to have his name called. Can you see the diploma in his hand?

I don't know why you are looking at this photo...

After 2.5 hours it was finally time to stand and watch them sloooooooooowly  walk away.

Of course he does the World Wide Asian Photo Sign.

Proud father.... proud son.

Our happy little family

Raaaaaaaaaaarr!

The last time we will ever be in front of the cougar again... awww. Yeah, whatever we aren't even sad.... so long suckaaaaaahs!!!

Time to Shout!!!

Tribute to Friends

My cutest dearest bestest friend Elyse is coming out for my birthday in June. I think this may be the best birthday. Elyse and I have been best friends since we were 10. I think it is fair to say that this birthday will be epic!!!

When Elyse told me she was coming I started to think about all my girlfriends. Friendships really mean the world to me. I value my friends as if they are family. I am so lucky to have some of the best girlfriends around. I have had friends since I was 6 and 10 and 20 years old. Whether it's been a year or several years, I feel like our friendships have been since the beginning of time. The best part about these friends is we pick up right where we left off. It is like no time has passed us by.

Here's to all the girls and their BFF's. We all need that one girlfriend we can call to chat, cry, vent, and share secrets to.

Amrah... isn't that the best name you have ever heard? Probably the best hair dresser I have ever met. I love this girl!
Britney, me, and Amrah were all roommates and were all nocturnal ahahah. I use to camp out in their room.
Sarah was my first roommate ever! Poor thing had to put up with me hahhaha  We would eat CPK almost every night. It was so fun to become a free range college student with her.
Kylie (above) and Morgan (below)  are identical twins,
and we have been friends since we were 6 years old. I love how we still chat on the phone frequently!

Barbara and Madison were roommates too. Aren't they hilarious?!!
Kendyle (roommate), Me, Jessie, and Sarah... They sum up the best year of my life.
High school... these girls changed my life!
Amber and I were roommates as well. Words can't explain her awesomeness.
This is Jessie "The Reason" Jensen... the one who set me & G up on a date.  She is the one we always talk about.
Tina and I were instant friends. We were attached to the hip and everyone called us each other's partner in crime... seriously every teacher would always ask us if the other was missing.
Elyse is a true blue friend. I can't believe time hasn't aged this friendship one bit.

Me and Elyse at 10
Brittany, Me, our cousin, and McCall. Sisters are BFFs too!
So I actually don't have a picture of me and Laura... so this will have to do. Isn't she so cute? She is from England and probably the coolest person I know.
Thank you girls for always being the best of friends, for being a part of my life, and making some hilarious memories!

6 Months

Wow, it has already been half a year since Eke was born. How do I stop time? I am loving every second of this. Sometimes I wonder if I really am soaking up every moment.

My little bean sprout is sprouting away, here are his stats:
Length: 27" (77.21%tile)
Weight: 16.58 lbs (39.15%tile)
Head Circumference: 17.25" (57.17%tile)

This helmet worked amazingly. The person who invented this thing should be a millionaire. At E's 4 month appointment his head was measuring 17" and was in the 75.04%tile. After just 6 weeks of having the helmet, it has brought his head circumference back down to the average range. So it may look like his head only grew a quarter of an inch, but it actually grew evenly and proportionally.

I am very proud of him because he didn't cry when he got his shots. WHAT... WHY... HOW... I don't even care, I am just glad it didn't even phase him. He is pretty tough huh?!? Unfortunately, he became very sick with a fever, throw up, and poop galor! He first started rolling over at 4 months and has been teething since that same week, but no teeth yet. And he is now scooting like a caterpillar, I can't wait to see what else he will do.

His Likes:
Hands, rolling over and over and over, his loud toys that light up, rice cereal, people dancing, people watching, big kids, technology (anything with a screen), Baby Einstein, his jumper, bath time, getting diaper changed, walks, swimming, being held, his Koko, Tatu, Lola, and Lolo, car rides, being scared (seriously this will always get a laugh out of him), and people talking to him in a higher voice.

His Dislikes:
Being hungry and tired, not getting to see his dad all day, Gian's fake laugh (which by the way is hilarious. E will burst into tears and I can't seem to understand why), binkies, being bored, and missing his extended family... I can tell!!

In another 6 months, this little guy will be 1 year old. Until then, here are photos of his growth...

Friday Special

Since today is Friday I thought I would share my ultimate favorite weekend song....

Yes, I am not kidding when I tell you I wake up singing this song on Fridays. I know that this has been viral for a few weeks now, but how can this golden poop get old? If you have somehow missed out on this weekend revolution you must do so now by watching it and then continue reading. If you have already peed your pants multiple times then lets talk about this.

1.) Who the F wrote the lyrics to this song?
2.) Who thought this music video was a good idea?
3.) Wait, who thought this song was a good idea?
4.) Ummm who thought she actually could sing? I think I can sing better.
5.) How old are they?
6.) Who is this unknown rent-a-rapper who is endorsing this production?
7.) How old are they suppose to be?
8.) I am so confused... what comes before Friday... what comes after Sunday?!?!
9.) "We so, we so excited." Seriously!?!?
10.) WTF!!!!!

Regardless of the unsolved questions above, I still love to watch this over and over and over again just to get a good laugh. It never fails!!! After this out beat Justin Beiber's Youtube record, Gian introduce me to this video.

I can't tell which I love more. Either way, these two videos are how I like to start off my weekend.

It's a Great Day!!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day!! Regardless of the weather... it was beautiful!!

Gian had to be at school at 7:00am. That is sooooooo freaking early!!! OK, so we aren't much of early birds... even Ekemona likes to sleep in until 8:30-9:30. We love love love to sleep! Anyways, Gian had to be out of the house at the butt crack of dawn to take his last few finals. HE IS ALL DONE PEOPLES!!! He is a BYU alumnus... and college graduate! He is walking today and Friday. I am so proud of him! Now on to bigger and better things - like law school, the summer, and vacations. Hhahah Those are bigger and better then school, right?!?

And even EkeMoMo got G a graduation gift {well sorta}. Ekemona no longer has to wear his helmet!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! I knew his head was rounding out really well, and I knew he has made some serious progress, but man this kid shocked all of us. Yesterday we took him to the doctor to see how much longer he needed to wear it. I was really hoping the doctor would say he only needs to wear it at night. NOPE!!! The doctor was so amazed, that in only 6 short weeks, the helmet had totally corrected the shape of his head. We didn't have to cut E's hair, he doesn't have to wear it in the heat of the summer, and he doesn't need it when we are in Maui. He doesn't even have to wear it when he sleeps. Dr. Morales said that he has never seen a baby make such a turnaround, and he believes it is because we put him in the helmet so early, and that Ekemona was the youngest they ever put a baby in a helmet. He even mentioned how severe Eke's condition was and that it was so neat to see him make such a fast change. No more visits! Ekemona is allllll done and only in half the time they quoted. Way to go little man!!! Helmet Shmelmet! Eke totally rocked it! {I am really excited about this... can you tell?}

The only regret I have is we didn't decorate it!!! Ohh man! If money grew on a tree or if I had a Cricut, then I could have done something special, but I can't believe how fast the time went. I kept saying, "Next week, I will find something." Well you can only wait so many weeks huh?!?

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen... goodbye, helmet. You will be missed, ummmm not really... I was just trying to be nice hahahah.

Hip, Hip Hooray!! What a great way to feel the sunshine .... on an overcast day!

Blackened Ahi

I thought I would share this recipe with you. I love Ahi, and our local grocery store ships in Hawaiian fish live then butchers them at the store. That is as fresh as they come. I usually buy their Ono, which is divine and my favorite fish,  but I thought I would try something new, so I bought Ahi.

One of my favorite ways to eat Ahi is seared and spicy. So I went down the spice isle and found this....

Like my ghetto photo?!?!

Right away, I knew I could make something amazing. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients
*1lb of Ahi {it should be a steak, or fillet-like cut. It can be as thick or thin as you want. 1 lb should feed 2-3 people}
*Salt
*Pepper
*Cajun Blackened Seasoning
*1 Tbls Olive Oil
*1 Tbls Butter

~Warm pan on stove on medium heat.

~ Salt and pepper all over fish and then evenly sprinkle the cajun seasoning. Take one finger and rub seasoning so it thinly coats the fish completely. Flip fish and repeat step on other side.

~Add olive oil and then butter. Let butter melt completely {The butter keeps the olive oil from burning too fast}.

~Add fish and let cook for less then 5 min and flip. Fish should be pink in the center and cooked on the edges. Do not cover pan while cooking fish, it can overcook the fish causing it to be tough and too well-done.

~Serve with rice and some veggies {I did string beans}.

This is one of my favorite meals to cook. It is fast, easy, and reasonably priced. I hope you like it!!

3 W's

Wow, what a Weekend!!!!!

I was all excited because my whole family was coming into town. It was Crosby's baby blessing on Sunday, and Hunter's 3rd birthday. So I have been anxiously waiting for all the excitement. Well, we got more then we bargained for when I say we were all waiting for the excitement. Here is what went down.

Eke had his shots on Friday, and he was not feeling very well.  Sad babies are the saddest thing. He snuggled with me all weekend.  He would clinch his hands and arms around me while resting his heavy head on my shoulder or chest. Awwww poor little man! By the way, he is also teething so he still isn't feeling all that well.

McCall got her hair done... stupid hooker died it orange and purple!!! I am not kidding or exaggerating. ORANGE and PURPLE!!!! It was bad enough that I let McCall barrow my hat. Has anyone messed up your hair so bad it leaves you with this hole in your stomach? Well that is exactly how she felt. If you would like to see photos you may do so by clicking here. I don't feel like the pictures really capture the true color.

Saturday morning we wake up with a sad baby and a phone call about an hour later that said McCall had a seizure and was in the hospital. Yep, pretty dang scary!!! Luckily she is ok, nothing serious happened, especially because these things are very serious! The doctors don't know why it happened, and they don't believe it will happen again. She will be going to the neurologist to confirm that. One of the things they believe might have triggered it was stress and being off of her sleep pattern. I am thankful that nothing worse happened. I seriously think her hair dresser got her chemicals from Tijuana, or maybe on the black market, causing McCall to have a seizure. We all met up at McCall's house that night to eat some dinner and because she was doing so well, she wanted to continue with the original schedule.

Sunday they blessed Crosby and it was lovely. What a cute little baby! He has already gotten so much bigger. His older brother, Callum, has been so cute. Cal loves Ella and Koko, anyone else is just not relevant to him hahahaha. Here are just some photos of the event.

Hunty is now a big kid and is 3 years old!!! This kid is so so so funny. Here are a few things that he said:

Brittany: Hunty are you a big boy now?
Hunter: Now, I'm a babeball man!!!

McKinley: Hunty can I have a hug, I have missed you!
Hunter: No, I stinky!
McKinley: What? You are stinky?
Hunter: Yeah, I stinky all the time!!!
McKinley: Ohh that is ok, I don't care.
Hunter slowly walks over and gives me a hug and kiss ahhaha. It was like he was thinking... ohh you don't care?!? Ok then, I don't mind!

Hunter: What's this?
McKinley: That is Eke's helmet, it helps round out his head.
Hunter: Ohh Eke has hockey helmet!

Hunter: Bye Bye Eke Hockey!

Can you tell Hunty is all about sports? What a boy!!! For his birthday we gave him a baseball action figure. When he saw me carrying the present he jumped up and yelled, "PRESENT!!!!" He opens it up and says, "Ohhh babeball man!!!" and he will make the action of the man swinging his bat. Brittany then told him, "Hunter, now you can play with him in Ella's doll house," as she laughs under her breath. Hunter replies, "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!" Oopies, sorry Ella!! You may now have one more reason to not want your little brother around.

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!
