Let Us Remember

The thought of 9/11 will bring tears to my eyes every time I think about it. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of one of the most tragic days in our nation's history. The raw emotions, the shock, and the actual events were all captured on film while most of us were in a much safer place, either watching from home, school, or work. The attacks left us traumatic and emotional with a lingering passion for those who were involved. I would personally like to thank all those who are fighting for our country, for the police and fireman who put their life on the line every single day, and for those who were on flight 93 who did everything in their power to take over the high-jackers. Thank you; thank you for your courage, strength and heroism. To me, you will always be valued and appraised.

The events that happened that day literally shook the earth. It shook our reality and taught us how to love complete strangers. It gave us a new appreciation and definition of the word hero, while having an overwhelming gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives. It showed us how to come together as a nation and unite as one.

For these reasons alone 9/11 should never be forgotten.

Today I will give a special prayer and moment of silence to those who lost their lives or lost family members due to the attack of 9/11.

Flight 175
