What the F David Blaine

In case you have no idea who David Blaine is, he is this amazing magician that really boggles my mind. Gian are I are watching him on TV right now. He is so phenomenal that people have made fun of him and his insane ways. He makes Chris Angel look like a fraud. First watch these clips of how he can bend time and manipulate objects. He does magic on random people on the street... at their homes... to celebrities... to celebrities on the streets. Anyways, just watch it!

The only reasonable logic of his ridiculous talent is simply time travel! I mean how is there any other explanation? Really... even if he does share his secrets, explain how he can do it in that time? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!

Now that you have seen how insane his tricks are you must watch this hilarious spoof. You will forever say, "What the F David Blaine?" when feeling confused and shocked!

And The Winner Is....

Sorry this is a little late.

March Madness Bracket winner is McCALL BROWN.

She has won a box of Girl Scout Cookies, along with a surprise gift that will not be revealed until her pretty little eyes have feasted upon it.

Congratulations for being intuitive and picking the correct teams that rocked all of us! We didn't even have a fighting chance.

Intelligender

My sister McCall found this product called Intelligender. It is an at home kit that can predict the sex of your baby as early as 10 weeks. When McCall found it she was so excited and called me to tell me what she had found. She then continued to tell me she already purchased it and was mailing it to me. I thought it was so cute she would go out of her way to give us this cute little pregnancy gift. The package we got was green and white polka dots, with a very vibrant colorful letter. We loved it!
In case you have never heard of this gadget I would love to explain it further. It is this home kit that you can buy at Target, Wallgreens, and CVS stores. How it works is you need your first morning's urine sample, and you follow the directions EXACTLY. The kit will either turn GREEN for boy or ORANGE for girl. It is 82% accurate, so nothing is set in stone until you have your 20 week doctor's appt where you can see by the ultrasound and/or the baby has arrived. The hormones from the baby get into the mothers system and while overnight, your bladder holds urine for one of the longest times of the day creating there the highest amount of hormones detected in the urine. This device is able to read those hormones to help predict the gender of your Gummy Bear.

What a brilliant idea this was. It is fun to get a better idea of what you are having sooner. The odds of it being right are high enough for me to feel pretty confident in what I now know what we maybe having. I mean if it was 50% accurate I would say... so are my guesses... and wouldn't think twice, but they have done a lot of reaserch for it, that McCall found and forwarded on to me. If you want to visit their site to read more or purchase one for your self just go here.

Gian saw the results before I did, and he came in and gave me a sweet kiss saying, "It's a boy." He was beyond thrilled, and happy to confirm his thoughts of it being a boy. My whole life I have always thought I would have a boy first, and everyone keeps saying I will have a boy...and because of everyone saying that. I felt like... well why can't I have a girl? So I tried to fight the odds and keep my fingers crossed in hopes that this pregnancy it would be a girl. I really am happy either way, a baby is such a wonderful blessing and there is nothing that can make a couple happier then to start a family.

In case we are all wrong, including the intelligender, I will be able to find out in 9 long weeks for sure what we are having.

Thank you McCall and Ryan for thinking of us and letting us be able to put our minds to ease for the next few months. It was so kind of you to think of us.

Divine Pieces of Heaven

Dear Girl Scout Cookies,
I love everything about you that you choose to be. You are the most perfect concoction that has ever been thought of. It is like a birthday party with a pinata in my mouth every time I eat one of these divine pieces of heaven. I love that I can spend hundreds of dollars on you and know that it all goes to a good cause... and that it supports the darling little kids that hold up cute signs to indicate where my addiction may live during the spring season.

Look how perfect your little round shape is. My taste buds are already jumping with joy just admiring your beauty! Please let me know your recipe, so I can enjoy you year round.

I will not advertise the amount of boxes I have bought, nor the bitter feelings I may feel when having to share, but I will display my undying love for you! I do not know how to describe how my insides feel when I partake of an insane number of cookies... but my mouth has never been happier.

So I would just like to thank you for always thinking of me and my needs. Thank you for helping me help you!

Love always and forever,
McKinley M.

Breaking News!

Well more then half of you already know this, and anyone who is on Facebook has already read...

WE ARE PREGNITO!!!

Ok the full story from the beginning. It was Monday night February 22 when I was at the mall with a girl friend. She said the most endearing words, "McKinley your ladies are looking quiet big." I was so excited because I was thinking the exact same thing earlier that week. Before I could thank her for the nicest complement I have ever received, she finished the rest of her sentence, "I bet you are pregnant." I laughed it off and said, "Nooo... there is no way, my period is late, but it has been late for the last few months." That little thought festered in my pretty little brain. So when I got home I thought I would take a pee stick test. One thing I for sure thought was that I would fail! I really had no thought in my mind I could possibly be pregnant. I did exactly what the instructions told me to do, and left the stick to its lonesome and went and watched TV for a few minuets because I really had no inkling of a thought. I went back into the bathroom to confirm what I thought I already knew.... and this is what I saw.

Can you believe this little plus sign and the word "yes"... I still can't believe it. For a while I was worried I was having a hysterical pregnancy . But don't worry we went to the doctors today and had an ultra sound. We got to hear the baby's heart beat. It is still really small because I am 8 weeks, and the doctor thinks by the measurements that I am 7 weeks 2 days. But on March 29 will be our 10th week appt and we will get a better idea of how far along we really are. Here is the ultra sound of our little nugget from today.

Sorry I am not sure if you can see it, I just took a picture of it on my cell phone. PS... can I just tell you this has been the longest 3 weeks of my life. I don't know if I can last much longer. The morning sickness, which I think should be renamed to miserable-sickness AKA allday-sickness, is so annoying. I just do not enjoy being nauseous let alone spelling the word! How do women have multiple pregnancies? I have a new found appreciation for all the mommies out there! Ohhh the best thing about this is my sister Brittany is preggers with her #3 and is due in July, so our blueberry nugget {because it is about the size of a blueberry, that what it said in my pregnancy book} and her little girl will only be 3 months apart. How much fun!! They will be BFF's ahhahahaha.

Over and out cap'n

This is Gian ---> I'm still soiling myself.... Peace out for now fool.

March Madness 2010

Ok can I first start by saying Gian and I had no idea it was daylight savings today! Our phones automatically switched times, so we had no idea why every clock we looked at was off. I thought at first the power went out for exactly one hour. Then I thought maybe its daylight savings. I ran to my calendar to confirm, thank goodness someone was smart enough to have it written somewhere!

NOW the fun and important stuff... the reason of this great day... the reason we are all alive today(sometimes I like to be dramatic)! In case you were not only clueless about today's clocks changing, there was the NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket Announcement today. Regardless of my interest in sports, I love to get involved with the fun activities that go on for sports. With that said, Gian and I have created a Bracket group on ESPN.com, where you, my dearest little friends, can predict who will become the next NCAA Basketball champions for 2010. The winner will receive a wonderful gift from me and Gian. All we need is for you to write your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS in the "words of affirmation" so we can invite you. Make sure it is no later than Wednesday March 17. Please only one per person, but as many people per household as you would like. Just verify each email for each person. I want to assure you this is not a gamble... just a fun game where you have the chance to win a fabulous prize (Brad and Whitney, if you play I predict you guys will win. I am not bias... Brad is really into college ball and I don't doubt their skills).

May the best team win.. and good luck!

Alice and Wonderland

In case you were wondering... I LOVED IT. I mean from the beginning of time I loved this movie, and really Disney cannot do anything wrong in my mind. The plot was amazing, but nothing I thought it would be. I love the artsy feel Tim Burton put into this, along with the costumes, make up, and animation. And of course Johnny Depp did a great job. My one and only complaint is... Alice had brown eyes... WHY? She has always had blue eyes. I like when things stay close to the original, and that was the only thing that bothered me. Other then that, everything was spectacular. Here are some pictures for your liking.

The White Queen

This scene is amazing and the flowers are genius

I love the Mad Hatter's make-up and The Red Queen is so sassy!

I loved Chesire... look at those eyes, and his smile is better than in the cartoon.

Alice with BROWN EYES, but the shot is awesome!

Tweetle Dee and Tweetle Dumb. They remind me of something/someone, I can't figure it out.... do you know?

It's a Love Thing

Valentine's Day, what a wonderful loving day to celebrate. As a kid this used to be one of my favorite holidays. My mom was always so sweet to celebrate the love she had for her daughters. So whenever we came home from school there was always some cute little gift or surprise. By my mom thinking of us on Valentine's day it has given me the wonderful impression that you do not have to be in love with someone to celebrate. It is for anyone you are thankful to have in your life.

With that said, I feel very lucky and thankful to have Gian in my life. He is a wonderful husband and is always so thoughtful. He planned all of Valentine's Day and it was one of the best date nights we have had. He came home with this amazing arrangement of flowers. I have never seen such a pretty arrangement. He also brought home NINE [that is right you read the number 9] cupcakes from The Cocoa Bean. I once mentioned to him that I wanted to try every flavor, so he brought home one of each from that day!

He also made dinner reservations at a restaurant called Chef's Table. Neither one of us have ever been there, but word on the streets is that it is a must eat here in Utah. It has won several awards. Of course nothing matters until we have voted or given our two cents. But it was as good as its reputation. They have great service as well. I felt all fancy shmancy there.

After dinner we went to Build a Bear. There we made and stuffed Penelope. She is our little owl. I don't know why we named her that - it was the first name that came to mind. But if you press her heart you can feel her pulse, and she says, "OWL always love you." Last Valentine's day I got Jessie this bag that had two really cute owls that had the same saying. I thought it was hilarious and brilliant. Since Penelope was a girl we needed to make it clear to every one, so we stapled a bow to her head (Dear Stuff Animal Activist.... I am sure it didn't hurt!).

It was a great date night. Thank you Gian for always being so thoughtful and considerate! I freaking love your guts!

She says "Owl Always Love You!!!" in my high pitch kid voice.

Cubical of Photography

At our wedding we had a photo booth that would shoot out two strips of the vertical photos. The idea {BRITTANY ERICKSEN} was to have the guests take one of the strips and then paste the other strip to scrapbook paper and then write a message next to their photo. With the pictures they took home they also got a hand made magnet that Gian and I made. Which may I add, turned out amazing!

The best part about this entire thing {for us that is} was we got a CD of all the photos that were taken from that day. So below are some images that I thought had to be shared. And for those of you who follow our blog, I thought you would enjoy seeing yourself on here as well.

It was really nice to go through this CD because there were images that I have never seen before, EVER! Like the ones from Brittany and Ella, Brittany and me, and Brittany and her family. Takashi

Wow...this blog just got super girly. I was looking at the pics on my camera just now, and I decided I should post something. Two weekends ago, McKinley and I went up to SLC for a quick date. We ate at Takashi and saw Avatar. We love Takashi - hands down the best sushi in Utah. Avatar ended up being an awesome movie. We were kind of skeptical at first, but it ended up being as good as everyone says it was.

I love my wife...for real...

The coolest thing about this soda is the marble that pops down from the cap

Strawberry Fields and sashimi

So I totally forgot to take pictures of the other rolls we got before we ate them...we were starving...they were dang good though...

Cool cool. Peace out for now.
