I'm Not a Doll Person

My darling friend Amrah was the one to share this wonderful news with me. I am not a doll person, but I am a huge Disney and Princess lover... and guess what they came out with... DOLLS!!! They are limited designer collector dolls. They are only making 80,000 and they are doing all 10 princesses, a new doll/princess each Monday. So far they have done Cinderella and Ariel. I LOOOOOOOOOVE THEM!!! Did I ever tell you that I used to work at Disneyland? Yep, probably one of the best jobs I have ever had!! I actually miss it a lot and desperately want to make it back.

Getting back on topic.... to be truly honest I am more obsessed with the sketches than the actual dolls. They are only sold at the Disney Stores and they are each $60. Each store is given a limited amount to sell and when they are sold out they are gone!!! Here are just the sketches, want to see more?

What do you think? Would you go buy them? Do you love these sketches?

Avocado Corn Dip

Because of the overwhelming amount of Black Beans in our pantry, I was determine to find a way to make them tasty in meals or as a side dish. I am pleased to tell you that this recipe is also great in nachos, tacos, quesadillas, or anything else that needs a mexican twist.

Ingredients:
1 can of sweet corn {drained}
1 can of black beans {drained}
2 large avocados, chopped
1-2 sweet red bell peppers, diced
2 limes, squeezed
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp hot sauce {I used Chalula}
Diced jalepenos {optional}

Directions:
*In a large bowl, toss corn, beans, avocados, bell peppers, and jalepenos.

*Squeeze lime juice into mixture.

*Add garlic salt, black pepper and hot sauce and stir gently with a spatula.

*Serve as a dip with chips or add to your favorite meals for more variety.

Enjoy!!!

Cakie Rolos

I first made these cookies back in 2007 for some friends. I had never tried the recipe before, but I made these cookies and they just disappeared. Great... now I am craving them and will probably have to make them tonight after dinner.

I call them Cakies {"kay-key"} because they are cookies made from cake mix. They are soooooo delicious! And... a useless piece of information you may like, Keiki {pronounced like "kay-key"} means child or baby literally meaning "the little one" in Hawaiian.

Ingredients:
1 Box of German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 Egg
1/2 Cup of Melted Butter
2 Rolls of Rolos

Directions:
*In a bowl mix together the cake mix, egg, and butter. The mixture will look a lot drier then most cookie dough.

*Take a tablespoon size of cookie dough and in another hand, a Rolo. Form the dough around the Rolo until you can not see the Rolo anymore.

*Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 10 minutes. Remove from sheet and place on a cooling rack (they may be very very soft at first but will become firmer the longer they cool).

*Feel free to use other firm candies like Resses or Milky Ways.

ENJOY!!!!

Halloween is Coming

I love that everywhere I go I am seeing things for Halloween and Fall. It is so exciting!!! Pumpkin flavored everything will soon be on every menu and leaves will be turning colors. Spooky ghost and goblins will be sitting on porches with Dracula and Frankinstein. Squash will be blossoming from the vine ready for carving, and haunted houses will be opening up their ticket stands waiting for the anxious to sell them out to their fullest capacity.

Best of all I am about 90% done with Ekemona and Gian's costumes, and mine... I have done about 10% hahaha. IT IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!!! I am so excited for this year's costumes. Have you started working on your costumes? Do you know what you are going to be?

Ninja Please!!!!

.::Viral Friday::.

HALLELUJAH it is Friday!!! Hope you have been well and I apologize for not being as blog loving as I usually am. I have been SOOOOOOOOO LAZY!!!

Last night this video popped back into my memory from the middle of nowhere. This time last year I came across this video and showed it to Gian. It became our inside joke with pretty much everything. We even started calling Ekemona our little ninja and debating about putting, "We welcome baby Ninja into the world..." on his birth announcements.

To be quite frank, I love everything asian, but this, this takes the cake!!!

Brilliant. I love it!!! Still makes me laugh.

THANK YOU, COME AGAIN!!!!
Happy Weekend Everyone

G Force

Gian's birthday was this last week and he turned the big 2-5!!! He kept saying, "I have lived a quarter of my life" hahah. We went to dinner at his choice, but before that we shopped around at the mall where we found a photo booth. For the record, this was Gian's idea and wanted me to declare that ahhaha. I am so glad he did come up with the thought because it was fun and we have a thing for photo booths. We got dessert at this cute little bakery {our favorite} and ran into a lot of friends along the way. It was pretty low key, but it was fun and the perfect break from the busy week.

Happy birthday G Force!!! You are a wonderful dad and husband and I am so glad there is a day where we can celebrate you and only you! We love you to a billion little pieces!

Kid History

.::Viral Friday::.

Welcome welcome!!! Hope this has been a great week for you, and I hope that this weekend will be a great one since summer is starting to wind down and come to an end.

Has there every been one of those stories that someone in your family has never been able to live down? That is the case with this family, only it is told by the children (the youngest members) of the family. The kids come up with the craziest things, and the editing and reenactments are redonkulous! It makes me laugh just thinking about it.

I am sure most of you have already seen or heard of Kid History by now, but it is definitely .::Viral Friday::. worthy! Here is episode 1. Feel free to watch all the other episodes done by Kid History. Enjoy!!!!

My cousin, Bethany, showed this video to me {via blog} a while back and I don't know why it took me forever to share it with you now!!! Aren't these kids hilarious? Ohh I love the things they say! Especially when the car was glittery ahhahahahahaah.

THANK YOU, COME AGAIN!!
Hope you can make some awesome stories this weekend!

Pearly White

FINALLY!!! This little man got his first tooth to cut through on Saturday. Back in February, I swear to all things that are good in this world, I felt this same little bud blistering under his gum. At the time, I thought he was way too young, but knew it would take a few months for it to show its sharp little head. Over FIVE MONTHS!!! It took over 5 months for it to pop right out!

I wonder how long it will take the other teeth to burst through the gums.
