Viral Friday: "Hey, I Just Met ...Gangnam Style...on the 405-rex"...

I don't remember the last time we had Viral Friday, so I'll do a summer recap for us...since summer is long gone...

First, I would like to thank Carly Rae Jepsen for "Call Me Maybe." It gave inspiration to tons of people to make lots of memes about your lyrics, and also inspired tons of dudes to pass out business cards, with your lyrics on it, to random bettys that would, later on that night, tell us through social media how they got hit on that day. Awesome. I called it at the beginning of the summer...Carly Rae Jepsen - "Call Me Maybe"...theme song of Summer 2012.



Don't deny that every time you heard this song on the radio this summer that you got pumped up a little bit. Seriously though. I did. I love that she is like 38...well, I think she's actually somewhere around 28...and sings a song that 16-year-olds sing.

There a good chance you've already seen this video...or a parody of it. This exploded sometime over the second half of the summer. Gotta love k-pop.



So, Psy ain't no Jay Park...but this is freaking awesome. Seriously...a horsey dance? Yeah... There are just too many great things about this video to discuss.

Let's preface this next video by mentioning how we currently live in Southern California. If you've lived here, or at least driven around, you know how ridiculous driving gets. There are a ton of freeways and it really is like an art-form knowing how to navigate your way around. Even with the plethora of freeways, it's almost beautiful how they all interconnect and how it just flows...so nicely...well...when there isn't traffic. Everybody knows a particular way from point A to point B, everybody knows how crazy traffic gets during certain hours of the day, and everybody has a "special" spot to park wherever they go. So a couple weeks ago we had family in town for an event. My sister-in-law/McKinley's sister, Brittany, was listening to her husband/my brother-in-law, get/discuss directions from the LA County Fair to Mike's parents' house. The following SNL skit pretty accurately illustrates the conversation she heard...which is how a lot of conversations are down here.



Hilarious. I love how everything is centered around driving and traffic. I like to believe that they were all laughing so hard b/c they know themselves how true it all is. Ridiculous.

My Nightmare!!

Hey guess what... I am doing a .::Viral Friday::. for the first time in a very long time. Are you excited about this? I don't know what my deal has been, but I seriously never get on my computer these days. It's a rare occasion when I do.

Earlier this week I had this eight legged beast trapped in a cup. If I could begin to find the words to describe my anxiety around bugs then I would.... but I seriously can't even compare it to anything or articulate it in a way that would make you understand. All I can tell you is I truly believe all creepy crawlers {exception for butterflies, caterpillars, lady bugs, rolly pollies, dragonflies, fireflies, crickets and bees [because they make honey]} are a pure translation and physical evidence of HELL!!! I'm not even kidding. Those things do not represent anything that is holy and delightful and pleasant... let alone magical!!! They are the spawns of Satan, they are the life from the underground world and they are here to torment and corrupt all mankind. I'm 100% being real right now!! Not over dramatizing anything!! I BLOODY HATE BUGS!!! 

With that said I have found two videos that capture my exact fear of what I think will happen every time I get close to a spider. EVER.FREAKING.TIME!!! 

Now it is hard to see it in the video above... but the evil possessed creature jumps!! He jumps at the man!!! He jumps and attacks him with those furry hairy ugly eight legs of his and multiple eyes and fangs!!! Why do people like vampires? I HATE FANGS!! So now watch the video below for more footage...

Why does he act like spiders are cool? Let's all be honest here... it is no one's fantasy to have spiders crawl on their body. NO ONE!!! I say... that's what you get when you try to befriend all that is evil and dark on this earth!

Now that my paranoia has kicked in and I feel like I have bugs all over me... let's end this delightful Friday with some laughter and joy!!

I wish I was as cool and hipster as these kids!! They seriously make me smile!!! They make it seem like spiders never even exist ahahha.

Yo. It's your lucky day... I have done two weeks in a row of Viral Friday while McKinley is being a slacker. I saw this video earlier this week. Disregard the the fact that what happens in the video has absolutely nothing to do with the product. It's still a hilarious elevator prank.



You gotta love the people that just get into it with the people singing. I always love the people who are like, "WTF? What the heck is going on?"

Running Fail Turned Win

I found these videos a little earlier and thought they were good videos to share for Viral Friday.



I love this dude. I love that he doesn't even hesitate after he falls and just makes the best of the situation. We should do in life what this dude does on the track...when life gets you down, do the worm and dance.



Pretty sweet huh? After watching these videos, it's obvious that Hawaii knows what it do...what it do?

Tears of Joy

Remember how I told you I love Disneyland? Well there are several reason why, one of which is the magic and effort they put in to making memories and making it a trip every family will remember for the rest of their lives. Also, I use to work here, so I got to make the magic for the families and now that I have a family of my own, it pulls on my little heart strings.

This video was me trying to document us entering the park together as a family for the very first time. At this point, I was having a really hard time keeping myself together since I already lost it in the car when I saw the Matterhorn from the 5 freeway. This was Gian's first time to the park since he was 6/7 years old and our first day happened to me on the most magical day on the calendar.... February 29!!! Can you believe that?!?! Who could ask for anything better? I think the real kicker for me was when I saw those bloody pins that represent all I was feeling, and I lost it!



I wish I could tell you this was the last time I cried... nope! The third time {in less then 30 minutes} was on the way to the castle where we were going to take our family photo and I saw Snow White walking to her wishing well.... aaaaaaaaaand I galloped to her... yes, I ran! And YES that was caught on tape.... should I air that one too? I was, no joke, worse than any 4 year old. Once my sister, Brittany, reminded me that we were taking a photo and I didn't have time to run to Snow White I started to cry again. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME? All the magic was more than I could take... and to me Snow White is the most magical of them all. Our photographer was so sweet and didn't even judge me once! What a nice lady! Then I cried one last time when we were leaving the park on our last and final day... I cried the whole way down Main Street USA. Seriously, what 24.5 year old does that? So if you did your math right that is a grand total of 4 crying sessions from a grown married woman with a child in public.

Here is it.... I hope you find this as humorous as the rest of my family. For me, I cannot watch this because I start to cry all over again. There may or may not be something seriously wrong with me!

PS Is it wrong if I label this as .::Viral Friday::. I mean it is Friday, and it is a video... is that wrong?

Disney Housewives

We have been away on a family vacation at the happiest place on earth with my whole family. Since I have been preoccupied with magic and wonderfulness, today was the first time in over a week that I have been able to touch a computer... Aand that is because of this hilarious video I want to show you.

My friend that I used to work with at Disneyland shared this with me... which meant I had to hop on here to share it will all of you...and I am going to go ahead and count it as Viral Friday, but we won't worry about the dates and how today is Sunday and this was aired last night on a Saturday.... right?!?!

Gian...G-ON...like 'G' + "ON"...like neon, but with a G. That's usually how I explain to people how to pronounce my name. Yo. So hopefully you've heard about this dude, Jeremy Lin, who plays for the New York Knicks. He's pretty awesome, good at basketball, and people have made up some ridiculously awesome phrases with his name...LinSanity, Linning, All I do is Lin Lin Lin, VaLinTines Day, Super Lin-tendo...the list is extensive. Oh yeah...and he's Asian. The dude graduated from Harvard. He plays Fruit Ninja like an Asian video gamer. He's friends with all the other "more recognizable" Asians on YouTube/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/Everything else. So the dude is pretty up there on the Asian scale...but the dude is a freaking baller. For real. Saw someone post this Jeremy Lin video last week.



I love how it combined his baller status with his Asian-ness in the most ridiculous way. If you've never heard of Jeremy Lin before, ask someone who watches SportsCenter about him. It's been crazy...and awesome.

Here's a video for a song that's been stuck in my head all week. Good song. I suggest turning up the volume on your computer/phone/tablet and enjoying the music...Fun. - We Are Young.



Good song huh? Listening to Fun. makes me miss listening to The Format...kind of like listening to Jack's Mannequin makes you miss listening to Something Corporate.

Although it is technically Saturday, there is no reason I should not continue the viral worthy material. Since Valentines day is just around the corner, I thought I would offer something for those skeptics who are opposed to a day of worshiping love. For those of you who are in favor of love, this is still a great laugh... however sad it is for these gentlemen... it does not make you heartless!!!



Ahahahahahah I laughed out loud for reals!! Not to say my heart doesn't go out for these men, but why in the world would you not have some kind of conversation about marriage? Viral Friday...but it's Saturday. McKinley forgot to do one yesterday, so she told me to throw a few videos on here. You've probably seen most of these before, but if you haven't, then you're in for a treat.

This first one is from Late Night Jimmy Fallon a while back. Him and Justin Timberlake (JT) did this History of Hip Hop performance one show, then they did another. This video is the second one they did. I was impressed. YouTube the first one they did if you have time...it's pretty good too.

So I'm sure you been seeing the trends of Shiz ____ Say the past few weeks. Here are a few. We're gonna bring back Stephen Jones for Shiz Mormons Say. The dude is pretty hilarious.

For this last one, I'm just gonna post a link to YouTube. Don't feel obligated to watch it. It's Shiz Filipino Moms Say. I realize that a bunch of you won't fully get the humor in it, but it's hilarious. If you were not blessed enough to be raised by a Filipino mother, I highly suggest you find one of your Filipino buddies and show this to them if they haven't seen it already. Thirdly, how hard did you hit your head on that car, ahhahaha IT WAS AN EPIC FAIL!!! Fourthly, I think you have some serious issues if you are dressed as St. Nick and some guy still pushes you out of the way in fear of their safety! Last but not least, I no longer think you hold the authority of, "Who has been naughty or nice," therefore everyone {whether they believe in you or not} should receive everything on their Christmas lists! Happpy Halloween Overload

I am sad to say that this will be the last Halloween .::Viral Friday::. I will show you until next year. It is a glorious holiday isn't it? But now we can have fun with all the upcoming holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! OK I will stop this silly nonsense of winter holidays and I will get back to focusing on this video overload.
