Corny Corny Corn

On October 1st, my friend Kelli invited me to go to a corn maze with her and her mom since all our husbands were out doing their own thing. It was really fun!!! I love these kind of things around fall time, especially because somewhere along the years, I lost my love for haunted houses... which by the way is a huge thing here in Utah. I use to love them, now I can't stand the feeling of all spookiness. Anyways here are some pictures of our fun....

 It was really hard trying to hold up Ekemona hahaha

 Eke got his very own wagon, and thought it was pretty cool.

 The biggest rocking chair I have ever sat on. I was trying to rock Ekemona like a baby again... he wasn't down for it hahaha.

 Kelli and Maralea taking a turn...

 It was really windy in the beginning and we were very distracted!

This was so much fun. It was like a tractor and bike hybrid hahaha. Can you see Kelli right behind me?

My family is coming into town today and we will be going here again tonight!!! I can't complain, I am actually really excited. I freaking love fall, peoples!!! What are your festive traditions this time of year?

Japanese Mob Scare

.::Viral Friday::.

Happy scary Friday my loved ones! How has your week been? I hope that this day will be wonderful for you because IT IS OFFICIALLY THE WEEKEND and NO WORK UNTIL MONDAY!!!

Since it is October, which is the national scare month, I was trying to stick with a Halloween theme video. I was struggling, so I decided to type "scare" into YouTube and see if something magnificent popped up... AND IT DID!!! This beaut was in the top 10 so I clicked it and all by myself, I laughed and laughed and laughed and tears were streaming and I laughed some more!!! Now it is your turn....

We have all seen the flash mobs, but a mob that scares people??? BRILLIANT!!! Japan has been known for being good scarers. Have you seen the Grudge? So you knew this was going to be a good one, right!!! Ohhh this just tickles me!!! Go and find someone to scare, since that is our national obligation for this holiday month!

THANK YOU, COME AGAIN
Happy Haunting...this is McKinley by the way

Forever Lazy

Have you seen this commercial yet?.... WHAT? You haven't? Well, you are missing out to say the least...

"Uhh Ohhh gotta go?" Hahahahahah There is a back door for those times when nature calls. Seriously? You are still wearing panties, so how does that work? You are right, this will be the talk of the next tail gate because people will be laughing at you!!! Hahahahahah I think that this just out shined the Snuggie! Ohhh, it is heinous in every way possible!!!

Now that we have seen and discussed this hilarious infomercial of the Rebecca Blacks, here is what happened the other day on twitter after Gian and I laughed to death:

@GianTheFilipino: Anyone see the infomercial for the Forever Lazy?...pretty freaking awesome...haha... {totally sarcastic because, well you watched it right?}

@ForeverLazy: "@GianTheFilipino: Anyone see the infomercial for the Forever Lazy?...pretty freaking awesome...haha..."- yes Gian, yes it is.

He got a retweet and mention from Forever Lazy! Hahahahahaha It was pretty freaking awesome. I think I now know what to get G-Force for Christmas.... maybe as our family matching PJ's... huh, huh?!?! This has been talked about at least once a day, especially after watching the commercial. Thank you Forever Lazy for bring laughter into our lives, and making the world a better place!!!

{I am absolutely serious when I say I am contemplating buying these!!}

Life is Grand

I think life has been pretty wonderful. Of course, there are always those ups and downs and rough patches, but we have been genuinely happy and seem to manage our stress levels pretty well recently. The other night, Gian and I got into a water fight with that little nozzle thing in the kitchen sink. The night before that, there was a pillow fight in the dark, and even once before, we got into a wrestling match over the remote. I don't know why all of these have made us laugh hysterically because let's be honest, we are one short step away from prank calling and T.P-ing ahhahaha. In reality, we act the way we look (like teenagers ahahha) not like 24 and 25-year-olds.

 While we were dating...

 When we had our serious talk about the future and marriage...

 Went to Vegas to meet his parents and tell them our plans...

 4th of July shortly after getting engaged... we were waiting for the fireworks...

 Living in down town SLC just 2 weeks after the wedding, freezing my butt off, and texting Gian how I am staying warm without him. Also, to remind him of the nut he just married.

But that is what I love. I looooooooooooooooove that we have a great time all the time, even if it is silly. We are happy, we are really happy!!! We are happy to be married together, we are happy to have trials together, we are happy to have each other during the good and especially during the bad and we are happy to have a child together. This is what life is all about. This is exactly how I dreamt it would be... pillow fights and all!!

Getting Ready

I have been getting ready for Ekemona's first birthday for like two months now, and let me tell you why....

1). Halloween is probably my favorite holiday and I always wished for a Halloween baby, and I secretly wished Eke was be born on the 31st.
2). I don't think I have ever hosted a actual party. They stress me out and give me anxiety and I knew that once I was a mom all that would change.
3). Since making the change of actually wanting to throw a party, I have gotten really excited for this party in particular thus making this party more for me then Ekemona {I can and will admit that loud and clear, I got no shame!}
4). I want birthdays to be a big part of our family culture, I want my children to have the memories I had growing up. Plus I am trying to create more traditions in our family.

Since I have been planing this since July, my wonderful and amazing friend Diana designed and made Ekemona's invitations. Did you know that Diana has an Etsy shop? YOU DIDN'T? Well let me tell you that you should go check it out {Do you see the owl button on the left side that says Livy ♥ Love?... that is her shop} because she has amazing things. She also does custom orders, business cards, invitations, and pretty much anything your little heart could dream of.

Diana made a mock up to hide the location.

Aren't they amazing? I just told her what I was thinking and VOILAAAAAAAAAAA she created this masterpiece! Because I wanted it to be a potluck {which by the way, I thought that was only a Hawaiian thing... didn't know the rest of the nation was on board ahaha}, I asked her to make inserts that had that poem on it.

Thank you Diana for making wonderful things!! You are pretty spectacular!

DIY Halloween

My two girl friends, Diana and Drea, and I were wanting to fill our houses with some Halloween decorations. Since we are all semi-penny pinchers, Diana came up with the idea that we all bring items to make crafts and only spend $15. It was such an awesome idea.

It took us two days to complete all four crafts and it was so much fun to have girls talk and just hang out. Here is what we made:

 Super easy banner with halloween themed printed paper, ribbon, and hemp string

Accordian folded circles with Halloween themed pictures in the centers

 Black metal board was bought at Michael's. We used oil-based Sharpie Paint Pens

Small frames with old photos {found on the internet} and googgly eyes glued on.

What do you think? Do you like our little creations? Have you made any fun crafts for Halloween?

Spooky

.::Viral Friday::.

Happy first Friday of October!!! What a glorious time of year! Pumpkin is in the air and cobwebs are now officially in style, so it is totally cool if you don't dust for a while! Halloween is here my furry little friends!!

I can't tell you how long I have been waiting to show this to you. Soooooo go go and watch this glorious clip!

Let's break this down...
1). Ever heard of Fight or Flight? Well, now you have! Prime example.
2). The scarecrow's hat flies off. HIS HAT FLIES RIGHT OFF!!!
3). Most people jump or do jazz hands or maybe even both, but nope not this guy. Seriously, don't mess with him!!!
4). Boyfriend looks like he is in serious pain... on the ground because he was just knocked out kind of pain.
5). I love that the huge black man punches, then runs, gasps, and then covers his mouth like a little girl.
6). Then that HUGE line backer goes back to help scarecrow up and to genuinely make sure he is okay.... what a gentleman hahaha.
7). The black dude laughs into the scarecrow's back while softly hugging him. Hahahahah I WOULD TOO!!!! I WOULD LAUGH THAT HARD!!!
8). In just 16 short seconds, it displays a bag full of emotions: Scared, shock, compassion, and humor. It.is.perfect!!!

I originally saw this on America's Funniest Videos {can you tell by the commentator? PS It is one of my favorite shows EVER} and almost peed my pants. I don't know how I found it again after all these years, but it makes me laugh every single time!!

THANK YOU, COME AGAIN
Happy Halloween

Provo

The Provo Tabernacle was originally built in 1883 and at the time the building was the most beautiful and expensive building in the town. As of recent, the building was used for LDS church services, and in 2009 I was lucky enough to be able to attend a Sunday meeting in the tabernacle. It was beautiful and I was so excited to be able to spend time in such a historic building. It was a reminder of the pioneer spirit.

 The original Tabernacle had a center steeple, but was removed for weight reasons.

The pulpit

Last December, a week before Christmas, the building was burned down in the middle of the night because of an electrical error {A 300 watt lamp was a part of the permanent lighting system, providing a heat and fuel source. They say if the first fire alarm had gone off, the fire fighters would have been able to save the building, but by the time they were called it was too late}. Many people were upset and emotional about the tragedy. Everything in the building was destroyed and only the outer shell was left standing. There was a lot of debate and concern over what to do with the building.

All that was left

Almost everything was destroyed. This photo is AMAZING!!! Look at his face!

Last Saturday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that they are going to rebuild the Provo Tabernacle as a second Provo Temple. I got chicken skin when I heard it and the audience literally gasped with shock. Because the Provo Temple is one of the busiest temples in the world, they felt it was best to make another temple for Provo.

This is what they plan the second Provo Temple will look like.

You can definitely say that God works in mysterious ways and that the burning of the tabernacle was really a blessing in disguise.

**If you have any questions about temples, I put four different links to the word "temple" above. I believe that each link serves a great purpose and will answer multiple questions. They each explain different topics that you might find relevant. Please take the time to view each link.... I promise you wont regret it!**

Ninja Bear

.::Viral Friday::.

It'z Aloha Friday... no work 'til Monday!!!! I remember singing this in school, getting so excited, watching the clock tick down until we were free!!! So happy Friday everybody, hope it is a great day for you.

Have I ever told you about my love for animals? Well let me just say I secretly wish I was a zookeeper or worked at Sea World. So when I saw this I knew I had to share it with you. Have you ever wished King Fu Panda was real.... I proudly introduce to you the Ninja Bear. He lives in a zoo in Japan and is an Asiatic Black Bear. This black beauty has serious nunchuck skills, I do not want to be stuck in an alley with this guy! I mean, this bear lives up to his full Asianess... what do I mean by that?!?! Well let's just say they have competitions for this stuff and this Pooh Bear makes all the other kids jealous!!!

DID YOU SEE HIM THROW THE STICK UP IN THE AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRR?!?! THEN CATCH IT?!?! I mean how did he learn this stuff?

They said he was rescued after his mother was captured and hunted and he has been obsessed with sticks ever since he entered the zoo as a cub. These bears are known for climbing and breaking off branches of trees, and they aren't sure if the bear is doing it for fun or out of boardem. If you ask me he is highly intelligent and loves the attention he is getting from all those who come and visit. Look at the fuzzy guy, he full on has an audience and doesn't ever try to hide his baton twirling skills in a place where no one will find him. I am in love!!! This is one amazing creature!

THANK YOU, COME AGAIN!!!
Aloooooooooooooooooooohaaaa!
